Arnhem is a city in the eastern part of the Netherlands, about 110 km from Schiphol Airport and 120 km from Amsterdam. It is about 25 km form the German border.

By Air

Arriving on Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, you can continue travelling by train or by a pre-ordered airport taxi.

Airport Taxi

A shared airport taxi has to be ordered in advance. An 8 persons van takes you from Schiphol Airport to the hotel or the address you entered on booking. For reservations: www.schipholtraveltaxi.nl. Without a reservation in advance there will definitely be no service.

Taxi

Because of the distance of about 110 km, this will be very expensive. A private taxi can be ordered in advance at www.schipholtraveltaxi.nl.

By Car

The HAN campus is near to the junction of the A12, A348 and N325 at Velperbroek. Be aware of severe traffic jams during peek times between:

  • Nijmegen and Arnhem (N325)
  • Utrecht and Arnhem (A12)
  • German border and Arnhem (A12)

By Train

From Schiphol

From the railway station at Schiphol airport take a direct train to Arnhem (updated information, due to recent changes in train schedules).

From Brussels

Either:
Brussels, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Arnhem
Brussels, Roosendaal, Nijmegen, Arnhem

From Germany

From the south, the first railway station in the Netherlands is Arnhem

From the east and north, change in Deventer for a local train to Arnhem or the place of your destination.

Reconstruction of the Arnhem Central Station may cause some inconveniences.

At Arnhem Central Station and Nijmegen Central Station taxi services will be available. Be aware that usually no taxi services will be available at smaller stations.
